PRIMARY and MONICA AND ANDY New Organic Baby Clothes Are Winners For Our Precious Grandchildren and Now Just in Time for Holiday Shopping

fall_winter-bundleEverything with the two newest baby grandchildren is about organic.  Of course, organic clothing is the new rage and there are new organic brands this Grandma had to have the Mother of the youngest grandchild try out.  Two are a hit!

MONICA AND ANDY

Our daughter first found Monica and Andy at Nordstroms, which carries very limited styles. It is a shame, because the styles on the Monica and Andy website are so many and all adorable.  Although, you might want to keep Nordstroms in mind if a style is sold out on the Monica and Andy website.  Be forewarned, do not delay in a purchase of a favorite style or print, as when you return to the website, it probably will be sold out. Cleverly, prints are limited edition.

The styles and prints are just adorable and fun.  Think peace signs, chess pieces, DJ, bicycles.  Take a look at all the prints for winter. Our youngest grandchild wore a taco onesie selected by his older brothers. One of our favorites is the Moto romper, which the youngest baby has in every size.

The products are not only organic and the most adorable baby clothes around, they are colorful, soft and wash well.  Our daughter says they run shorter than Gap and a little on the small size, so know that for your purchases.

Monica and Andy is expanding to brick and mortar “guideshop” stores in New York (with same day delivery, Chicago, Boston, Santa Monica, Short Hills (N.J.) and Kansas City.  Here are the locations, worth a journey to feel, touch, and view in person, if you are not near a Nordstroms and you need further convincing of this outstanding quality product.

For grandparents and parents to be, take a look at the pregnancy announcement box, gender reveal packages, the hospital cuddle box, and the modern layette.

Yes, modern is a perfect description of these perfect baby clothes, modern in design, modern in fabric, and organic modern for our new modern babies.

You too will become hooked on Monica and Andy.  Now, we must convince them to increase size to preschool from their largest which is toddler!

PRIMARY

Monica and Andy is pricey.  No way around it.  It is worth the price, but with babies spitting up and messy eating, it was important to find an outstanding organic option at an inexpensive price.

Yes, this Grandma found it on her own: Primary.  Their motto is “Every Color for Every Kid, the best basics without logos, slogans, or sequins.” They also have free shipping on orders $25+ and free 90-day returns.  The clothes go up to size 12.  Our daughter loved the styling and the fabric and the colorful choices.  She said Primary washes really well, but it’s 100% cotton so while she might say true to size (their 6-9 months is just slightly shorter than Gaps 6-12 months when washed which it should be) you could also say it’s on the small side.  Keep that in mind when purchasing, and purchase you should.

Primary advertises as basics and their great advantage is choice of colors and options of the basics at a very reasonable price point.  The long sleeved bodysuit comes in 24 colors and sells for $10!  Leggings come in 17 colors and sell for $12.  Remember these clothes are organic cotton.

For older children, the lightweight puffer jacket is $39 and comes in 7 colors.

Yes, you can overdose on Primary.  The good news is that it won’t break the bank.

Think holiday presents and stocking stuffers!  Primary even has a the holiday zip footie gift set for just $30, always 100% combed cotton rib, OEKO-Tex Standard 100 certified, with 2 zip footies packaged in a perfectly giftable sack set includes one stripe zip footie and one solid zip footie, zip closure, and sizes 9-12m, 12-18m & 18-24m have non-skid soles.  Parents like zippers for bedtime dressing, if the babies outgrow the magnet onesies.  Please do not forget a previous great find, Magnetic Me! See post, “New Baby Clothing Made With Magnet Closures Make Middle of the Night Changes A Breeze.”

Happy Holidays!

Joy,
