Give Your Grandchild the World in his or her Hand with a Globe

Give Your Grandchild the World in his or her Hand with a GlobeYes, we all wish we could give each of our grandchildren the world, the moon, the sun and the stars. We can start with a globe! As we travel, we can share the locations on the globe. With the internet, grandchildren don’t necessarily get to hold the world and we can do this for them.

  1. Hugg-A-Planet

Hugg-A-Planet is my favorite. It is 12″ round and weighs one pound and completely washable. It says it is for ages three and up, but can be for younger children. These are fun decorative bed pillows.

You can buy the planet earth.

You can buy the stars and constellations.

You can buy the moon.

You can buy mars.

  1. Inflatable Globes

All children love balls, and inflatable globes are an inexpensive and fun way to introduce the world:

Learning Resources version is 12″ and top rated on Amazon.

A 16″ clear version is another option.

Or consider a 16″ topographical colored version.

VTech – Fly & Learn Globe

VTech – Fly & Learn Globe is for 36 months to five years old, but hard to find. Moving electronic talking globe teaches geography, places, world wonders, people, languages and music

  1. And a Regular Globe

As a child, I loved the raised relief globe, and there is a highly rated 12″ one.

There is even a 5″ version.

Now when grandma shares adventures or reads stories or watches television or a movie about places around the world, the world can truly be at hand.   Now we can show where “Rio” is when we watch the movie.
